We've already seen Old Snake—heck, we had a whole game with him. While the promotional artwork for Metal Gear Sold: Ground Zeroes shows a younger looking Snake (Naked Snake), the game's debut footage seems to show an older looking one. Or does it?

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima attempted to clear up the confusion on Twitter, writing: "I'm seeing a lot of tweets about how when Snake takes off his goggles, he's old-looking because of his gray hairs. That, however, is just the backlighting making them look gray."

The difference is even more pronounced when you compare the promotional image and the game footage. Still, noted!

I thought the confusion was funny- especially since this appears to be a direct follow up to Peace Walker (hint: Chico and Paz). How would he turn grey from brown in a matter of a few weeks? Also, as for his face looking different- that's what happens when you make a big jump in graphics technology. His last appearance at this age was on the PSP, so differences are to be expected going from that to this.
