Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands Looks Memorable

Ubisoft finally offers up some in-game footage of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, the not quite an adaptation of Jake Gyllenhaal's Prince of Persia movie, a game set between The Sands of Time and Warrior Within.

Sure, it may look a lot like the Mike Newell-directed, Jerry Bruckheimer-produced film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, but the game and movie share little more than a common release window. Oh, and the fact that they're based on the characters created by Jordan Mechner.

While much of the action in The Forgotten Sands should look familiar to fans of The Sands of Time, that brilliant elemental effect applied to waterfalls and streams of water looks like a delicious new addition. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is slated for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, PSP, Wii and Nintendo DS, releasing May 18 on many of those platforms.
