Upcoming racer MotorStorm Apocalypse features buildings falling down. Which led to a delayed release in earthquake-affected New Zealand. And earthquake-affected Japan. And the UK. Now the game's demo has been delayed in the United States. Talk about bad timing.
It's a good thing this new game isn't called Motorstorm: Pacific Rift or something, otherwise it'd never see the light of day.
As for Apocalypse, having played the demo I'm a little disappointed. My friends and I are huge fans of its PS3 predecessor but this game doesn't feel as good. The handling is floaty as if the cars turn around their centres. The crashes don't seem anywhere near as visceral/impressive/funny as in the previous game - it's like the cars don't crumple or something. The player-activated disasters just feel slapped on after someone on the dev team played Split/Second.
