Why yes, I could use a bit of a break.

I can't help but feel that this is one of the most violent E3s I've ever seen?

After watching all the conferences, I think I'm all 'violenced out' for now.

Every conference appeared to showcase multiple games containing a level of violence and brutality

Brutal shootings, stabbings, bludgeoning, heads smashed into the sides of tables with a sickeningly satisfying crunch (you know the one I mean), bucket-loads of blood, Lara Croft torture porn, the list goes on...

It may not be that this wave of games has more killing, but it's that the killing is so much more up close and personal, seemingly in an effort to give things a sense of more "realism and maturity". I also noticed that many of these games were set in the style of a third person, cover based shooter.

I for one was really hoping to see some more purely adventure based games. A new Jak and Daxter or maybe if the heavens opened up and looked favorably on Microsoft, a new and proper Banjo Kazooie title. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time and Rayman Legends is a good start. now we just need more, more!, MORE!

I guess all that's really left to is Nintendo's press conference.

C'mon baby! Scratch that adventure itch!
