Let's be honest: most people's reaction to the upcoming Halo 4 Xbox 360 console was probably somewhere between "oh" and "oh God my eyes".

Which may explain why some new pictures of the console have turned up on Halo's official site looking, well, a lot better.

It's all down to that transparent effect. Not really noticeable in the press shots, it looks much nicer in the real world, and the reflections from the lights make the graphics all over the case a little less messy.

I'm not saying it's suddenly the greatest Xbox 360 console to have ever lived, but it's at least now looking better than the green & orange monster that was the Halo 3 edition.

My 360 Elite died a long time ago and MS wouldn't replace it. Only reason I want another is to play ME3 with my save, and from what I gather I can't use my old HDD with the new slims.

ugh.

EDIT: Just posting this comment had me google the issue and apparently you can transfer from an old HDD to the new slims.

Welp, I'll get a 360 when they hit $99 without locking me into Live. I actually can't think of any exclusives I've missed out on now that Alan Wake is on PC.

Anyone care to give me a couple reasons I should pick up a 360 when I have a PS3, Gaming Rig, and played all the exclusives I wanted up until about fall 2010?
