Every major Capcom fighting game release since Street Fighter IV has seen a super sexy Tournament Edition Arcade FightStick from Mad Catz, and Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is no exception.

Fighting fans know the drill by now. The Tournament Edition Arcade FightStick is a lovely piece of arcade technology, featuring Sanwa Denshi components housed in a Vewlix-style cabinet. They are probably the closest players will come to replicating the arcade experience short of building or buying their own arcade cabinet.

How is the Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 stick for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 different? It features some fancy custom artwork featuring characters from both sides of the fight, and it's limited to only 5,000 units.

With only 5,000 units up for grabs, I'd keep $159.99 handy and one eye focused on the Mad Catz online store as the February 15 release date rapidly approaches.

I would like to hear from fight stick users why they prefer fight sticks over controllers (D-pad or analog stick).

Get into detail. I know the motions and hand posture are different. I understand that playing at an arcade for a long time can create habit.

Take learning curve out of the equation and I'm wondering if a fight stick truly offers superior controls for a fighting game.

Has any fight stick user played matches against equally skilled players on a controller? What were the results?

I'm not knocking any method. I'm just curious because there are such dedicated schools of thought.
