Nintendo's President Is a One-Man GIF Generator

I always get excited for Nintendo Direct—not just because of the possible announcements, but because Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata always makes some adorable or funny thing that's totally unexpected from a company president. Even if it's a video game company.

Here's a look back at some of these memorable appearances, which show Iwata has a good eye for games, memes, and GIFs. Now that E3 is around the corner, we can only wonder what funny moments are in store for the June 11 Nintendo Direct.

It might take the GIFs a few seconds to load. The giggles will soon follow.

DISCUSSION

Conventionally I only buy two consoles per generation:

PS1 and N64
Gamecube and PS2
360 and PS3

This generation... weirdly enough... I think it's going to be PS4 and WiiU. I was ready to count it out, but it being BC for Wii-1 games, that makes it a shoe in for the Wii-1 games I skipped over for 7th gen.

But who am I kidding, since 2003 my consoles controllers have been collecting far more dust than "hand-grease" compared to my PC.

Consoles - for me - can't even try to be "the best" they have to be the nicest, the moderate, the least demanding. Nintendo I think "get it" they aren't trying to be "the one" console, they accept they are in a nice little niche.
