Ni no Kuni II Delayed Two Months

It is with great sadness that I report that I have delayed yet another game: Ni no Kuni II is now coming out in January. The role-playing game, a PS4 and PC sequel to the 2013 PS3 game Ni no Kuni, was previously scheduled for November.

“We have decided that more development time is required in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni II experience to our fans,” Level-5 president Akihiro Hino, who actually delayed the game, said in a recorded video message this morning.

Hino added that despite an interview he gave at E3 suggesting that Ni no Kuni II would have some sort of multiplayer, it is in fact a single-player-only game.

As someone who cannot wait for Ni no Kuni II, I am totally fine with this news for several reasons: 1) delays usually make games better; 2) this fall was pretty damn crowded already; and 3) this gives them more time to release a PS4 port of the first Ni no Kuni. I mean, come on already.
