Colors so vivid your cornea will hurt. Fashion so sweet your teeth will hurt. Welcome to Kawaii Monster Cafe.

This themed cafe was created by artist Sebastian Masuda, who’s famous for his cuter than cute fashion shop 6% Doki Doki and creating the look for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s “PonPonPon” music video.

I’ve always been a fan of Masuda’s work (which is why I interviewed him for my book Japanese Schoolgirl Confidential) and love how he can take Japan’s concept of kawaii and give it an edge.

The above video is from website Tokyo Fashion. Check out the site for more pics.
