The developers behind the Yakuza crime series are working on a sci-fi title called Binary Domain. It’s a pre-rendered trailer with robots, shooting and bad dialogue. But, hey, robots.

Much of the trailer is filled either with stock third-person character design or characters nicked from movies or TV.
While the game is supposed to appeal to an international audience, the title’s designer Toshihiro Nagoshi recently told a Japanese game mag that he won’t be turning his back on Japanese gamers.
Let’s hope he doesn’t turn his back on gamers who like good character design and good video games.
Binary Domain is a multi-platform title, heading for the PS3 and the Xbox 360.
