New Bowler Stereotypes For High Velocity Bowling

Sony keeps things classy with two new stereotyped characters High Velocity Bowling – a Hispanic girl with a chip on her shoulder and a male flight attendant with “fabulous ball control”.

The second highest downloaded PlayStation Network game of 2008 grows a new pair today, with the introduction of two new bowlers, available for $.99 each via the PlayStation Store. Team RamRod once again pulls no punches in describing the new bowlers.

Bruce is a flamboyant flight attendant from New York, New York who happens to be fantastic in the lane. He’s definitely earned the nickname ā€˜Flyboy’ and has proven to have fabulous ball control. Though, his downfall is that he cares more about his precious manicure than pin action … so it’s nothing but light balls for him.

That’s Bruce ‘Flyboy’ Fitzpatrick, whose very name is the punchline to a gay joke. Joining Bruce is Carmen ā€˜Sordida’ Sanchez, the Hispanic girl with an attitude and something to prove.

Carmen is from San Ysidro, California, and with a chip on her shoulder, she has much to prove. She’ll do anything to win even if it requires dirty tactics. Carmen refuses to wear bowling shoes and as a result, her form leaves a lot to be desired.

I know they might seem offensive, but I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s okay to offend people if you offend them all equally.
