New Band Hero Songs Confuse And Delight

Band Hero's track list continues to confuse the hell out of me, as newly revealed songs from Hilary Duff and Jesse McCartney mingle with newly revealed songs from David Bowie and Counting Crows.

This is so amazingly not fair. David Bowie's "Let's Dance", Counting Crows' "Angels of the Silences", and Mighty Mighty Bosstones' "Impression That I Get", some of my favorite songs of all time, are being included in a game that also houses Hilary Duff's "So Yesterday". How can I buy it? How can I not buy it? Band Hero's song list continues to grow, and I continue to experience equal parts revulsion and fascination.

In the end I will have to buy it, if only for the Counting Crows track, and the potential for more from the band as downloadable content. They are one of those groups that seems to have followed me throughout my adult life, releasing music that seems geared specifically at making me all moody. Perhaps Hilary Duff is like that for you. Perhaps there is something terribly wrong with you.

Check out the full list of tracks both old and new below. Band Hero ships on November 3rd.

Hey, Fahey: have you ever stopped to think that some of the people who play video games have a soft spot for Hilary Duff?

If you're 18 right now, you were 12 when So Yesterday came out. Even if you're pushing into your low or mid twenties, there's a definite chance you liked the song when it was a single.

Not to mention it's a cute song with instrumentation that lends itself perfectly to guitar, drums, and vocals. Please tell me how "Let's Dance" by David Bowie makes a better play.

That damn song was hell for me in Dance Dance Revolution. I almost didn't unlock all the songs in Supernova because of that damn song.
