It looks as if the studio that brought us Xbox Live's 1 Vs. 100 has a new episodic game show in the works, as beta test emails go out for Microsoft Game Studios' Full House Poker.

A reader-forwarded email from Microsoft Game Studios indicates that Full House Poker aims to bring live poker to the Xbox Live masses. Regularly scheduled Texas Heat poker game shows will allow thousands of players to try and work their way up to the top table, while earning experience points and chips for their bankroll as prizes.

The email indicates that Xbox Live avatars will be playing at the tables, with unique tells and accessories available to bring each players' personality to the table.

We've reached out to Microsoft Game Studios for confirmation of this email, and will update should we receive a response.

1 Vs. 100 may be gone, but it proved that this episodic game model worked. Hopefully this is an indication that it's legacy lives on.

So they pull 1 vs 100 even tho it was loved and popular and they give us THIS?

I've nothing against poker, but it's a damned game that's been hyped and glorified out of proportion into something absolutely ridiculous (tv commercials, websites, etc.).

And unless they turn it into a genuine for-money gambling affair, they'll simply close up shop whenever they feel like it and fans be damned.

Sounds bitter, doesn't it? Maybe. I'm leaving it as is.
