Mega Man X Marks The Nintendo Download

In a Nintendo Download populated by baby simulations, demos, and piano tutors, only one ancient robot has the power to make this week's downloadable Nintendo games not completely suck.

That robot is Mega Man X, making his Virtual Console debut in the form of the original Super Nintendo game. Dr. Light has been dead for hundreds of years, but his legacy lives on in X. Not satisfied with unearthing an ancient, super-advanced robotic life form, Dr. Cain has to try and integrate X's tech into a new series of Reploids, with disastrous results. What follows is a jumping, shooting, platforming extravaganza.

That's what the Virtual Console has to offer this week, at least. WiiWare has a demo for BIT.TRIP Core and a game about raising a baby, while DSiWare teaches you to play piano, a new installment of the DodoGo! puzzle series, and the underwater adventures of GO Series Captain Sub.
