Here I was, having a great week (in gaming apps), and Rockstar's Max Payne Mobile has to wander in and make things all noir and edgy—in bullet time no less!
How can a game in which you snipe at stick people stand in the way of the smirking face that would one day become Marky Mark? The colorful amoebae of this week's strategy offering have gone goth and all the words in Dabble are rearranging themselves to spell out passages from Raymond Chandler books.
Even Crow, which I called one of the best iOS apps I've played, couldn't possibly survive under the weight of its own atmosphere and Payne's angst.
It's enough to make a guy want to dive out of a window in slow motion.
If you have a suggestion for an app for the iPhone, iPad, Android or Windows Phone 7 that you'd like to see highlighted, let us know.
