Take-Two Interactive has a very busy fiscal fourth quarter, pegging four big games, L.A. Noire, Mafia II, Max Payne 3 and Sid Meier's Civilization V, for release between August and October. However, one of those games might not make it.
That means another delay for Mafia II, a title that isn't new to having its date pushed back. And it could mean more delays in the coming months, nothing that should come as a surprise to anyone following the release dates of many of these games.
The publisher of those PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC games—Civilization V is still PC-only—cautioned that "the Company's fiscal year 2010 guidance reflects the potential movement of one of these titles into fiscal 2011." So, expect L.A. Noire, Mafia II, Max Payne 3 and Sid Meier's Civilization V to ship by October 31, but don't act surprised if at least one of them is tardy.
Who wants to guess which one is going to slip?
