Kotaku Off Topic: So About This World Cup Thing...

I know absolutely nothing about soccer, but I'm beginning to feel the stirrings of second-hand excitement. Is this warranted? Should I be afraid? Should I call my doctor?

I came into Kotaku Tower this morning like I do any other morning, rolling out of bed and crawling down the hallway. Just as I am preparing for a day filled with joyous video game news and friendly commenters who are tolerant of my spelling errors, Luke Plunkett shows up and says "Wow" about five times. I "wow" back. Then I ask what he is wowing about.

I actually went out to Target today and looked at several, determined that I had no idea what I was looking for, and then went to Starbucks for an iced tea. I suppose I'll just have to wake up early tomorrow and bug Plunkett some more.

While I Wikipedia soccer some more, talk about whatever it is you talk about when you aren't talking video games. Things like...
