You like Gundam? Do you have time to kill on some simple flash games? Then, boy, do I have the site for you.
Japanese blog Kenkouna Seikatsu (Healthy Life) is about two things: Macromedia Flash and Gundam. Thus it has over a dozen Gundam flash games from across several genres. It’s got action games, quiz games, side-scrolling shooters, fighters, and even an RPG.
I took some time to try out each of them, and here are the ones you might enjoy. (Click the title to play the game.)
Gundam All Stars 2
In this game you choose your Gundam and pilot from across the entire Gundam franchise and then face off in a series of one-on-one or one-on-two battles against other mobile suits.
Gundam Fighters
While All Stars pits the Gundams of different series against one another, Gundam Fighters lets you pit the franchise’s pilots against one another in a melee battle in this traditional fighting game.
Ganbare!! Freedom (Give It Your Best Shot, Freedom!)
In this button mashing and timing flash game, asteroids are being thrown at the Earth and only Freedom Gundam can stop them. Click as fast as you can and then do two timing mini-games to send the asteroids back into space.
Danmaku SEED (SEED Barrage)
This is a side-scrolling shooter where you control the Moebius Zero mobile armor from Gundam SEED and shoot down Zaft mobile suits while dodging their bullets. Be sure to charge up your shots to launch the Zero’s gunpods.
If you enjoy these games and can speak Japanese, the site also has dozens of fan-made parody episodes from across several different Gundam series that might be worth a watch.
Kotaku East is your slice of Asian internet culture, bringing you the latest talking points from Japan, Korea, China and beyond. Tune in every morning from 4am to 8am.
