It looks like the recently released Castlevania: Harmony of Despair is set to expand (and soon) with a new downloadable chapter and at least one Belmont ready to join the team.
A user on the GameFAQs forums posted what appear to be early details on the first add-on for Konami's Xbox Live Arcade game, which appear to be Egyptian in theme, complete with a new pyramid-shaped castle, obligatorily populated with mummies.
That chapter, "Beauty, Desire, Situation Dire," will apparently continue the loot-hunting raids beyond Dracula's castle.
Those purported details, spotted by Wired, also hint at the return of Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow's Julius Belmont and Maria Renard, who appeared in Devil's Castle Dracula X: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
When we spoke with Castlevania creative director Koji Igarashi at E3 2010, he told us to expect downloadable characters and content post-release. Given that some more famous Belmonts and Castlevania mainstays are still absent from the downloadable game, it's doubtful Iga and Konami will stop these two.
