Comic Market – better known as "Comiket" – is the Japanese bi-annual 3-day indie manga event. Not only is there plenty of manga, but there's cosplay, too. Lots of it.
The event took place from December 28th to the 30th and attendance was the highest it's ever been for the winter Comiket, with over 560,000 attendees. Outside the main halls, dedicated cosplay areas were filled with people dressed up as their favorite characters, or notable people/things from the news, as... stuff. Japanese cosplay-centric blog, Asagawo Blog (アサガヲBlog), was there taking pictures of the various costumes. Check out some of the cool, crazy, and/or creative costumes below.
