Kotaku reader Riccardo whipped up this HD version of Mother‘s opening credits. It, like the game itself, is fantastic. If anything should get you excited about an HD Nintendo gaming system, it’s this.
Designed by Shigesato Itoi and produced by Shigeru Miyamoto, the Japan-only Mother was originally released in 1989 on the Nintendo Famicom. The game was planned for a U.S. release, but later shelved. Its sequel, Mother 2, was released in the States as EarthBound
