How Kinect Can Help Stroke Victims

Korean researchers have developed a stroke recovery program that uses Kinect. As you can see in the above video (via tipster Sang), the software even features a space shooter as part of the therapy.

I've always been interested in the use of video games for therapy, and things like virtual reality being used as part of pain relief treatment for burn victims or the use of Wii Sports and Wii Fit in physical therapy, or video games in general on children's wards to help kids take their mind off the treatments they're going through. Hopefully we'll see more uses of the medium and technology like this as the years go by.
