This August, a live-action Jojo flick is hitting Japanese movie theaters. Have a look at the first teaser.

Titled JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter 1, the film is directed by Takashi Miike of Ichi the Killer and Audition fame. In recent years, Miike has been helming game, manga and anime adaptations like Ace Attorney, Terra Formars, and Yatterman. Some have been good, others have been very bad.

The movie looks rather dark, no? But still over the top enough to please fans, hopefully.

This Jojo film is ‚ÄúChapter 1,‚ÄĚ because no doubt future instalments are necessary to set up the story and the characters.
