Today at Blizzcon, Blizzard announced the first expansion for their popular card game Hearthstone. It'll be called Goblins vs. Gnomes and will be out next month - it'll include 120 new cards, including an explosive sheep. Because, of course.

The game has already gotten one sorta-expansion called Curse of Naxxramas, though that was billed as an "adventure," rather than a pure expansion. Here's the trailer, straight outta Blizzcon:

Can someone explain to me what makes Hearthstone great? I was an early beta-tester, and clocked in a lot of hours in it, but I find it so simple that it's even limited. It's maybe that which makes it great, the simplicity and accessibility of the game, but I feel like it seriously lacks depth. In all my games it felt like it was all about the luck of the draw, if I didn't start out with good cards I always had problems getting the upper hand, and it seemed that way with the opposing player if I started with a great hand as well.

Any fans care to elaborate? I'm not saying it's bad, I just want to know what I'm missing here?
