This fall's DJ Hero is based on the concept of mixing two songs together. From two artists. No matter how different they are. Like David Bowie and KRS-One. Give that and two more mixes a listen.

That first one is "Let's Dance" and "Jack of Spades" as mixed by DJ Shadow.

Here's the Beastie Boys mashed up with Bell Biv Devoe ("Poison" vs. "Intergalactic") as mixed by DJ AM.

And here's Public Enemy featuring Zakk Wylde's "Bring the Noize 20xx" mixed with Justice's "Genesis" by DJ Z-Trip

I played the game in New York a few weeks ago but can't write up impressions for another week or so. As has been reported previously, players have to match notes on the record with button presses on the game's turntable controller, but with the added emphasis of keeping the mix of the two songs playing.

DJ Hero is set for a fall release on PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii. It will require a bundled turntable controller.
