During tonight's "PS Vita Game Heaven" online press conference, Sony announced Gundam Seed Battle Destiny for the PlayStation Vita.

The sixth game in the best-selling Gundam Battle series, Battle Destiny looks to focus exclusively on the story of the 2004 anime Gundam Seed Destiny. Among the talking points mentioned were spacious battle fields, local multiplayer and Vita quality graphics.

Gundam Seed Battle Destiny is scheduled for a June 7 release in Japan.

So, who's knowledgeable about Gundam enough to instruct someone not very knowledgeable to watch?

I figured this article is related enough, lol, as I'm interested in this game but haven't watched Seed: Destiny yet past maybe 3-4 episodes (I loved Gundam Battle Assault 2, for whatever it's worth).

There are just sooooo many Gundam series to go through, so I'll post what I've seen and enjoyed:

Gundam Wing

Gundam 08th MS Team (mostly the animation, but I'm a sucker for somewhat forced romance)

Gundam 00 (season 1 at least)

Mobile Suit Gundam

I can't remember the name of it, but there was a woman named Nina that the MC kept screaming about in this one and it was kind of short, like 10 or so episodes. I don't remember much about it because it's been a really long time, but I at least remember enjoying this.

What I've watched and thought was okay enough to finish:

G Gundam (I actually own this on DVD lol)

Gundam Seed (okay, this blows nearly every other forced romance I've seen in any anime out of the water. "Hey, I've seen you, like, twice and each time I was pointing a gun at you but I kinda let you see my boobs so you're my boyfriend now, ace")

Gundam 00 Season 2

WTF no:

SD Gundam

ZZ Gundam, though I never did finish it, it's been a while and I don't even remember what it was I didn't like. I may return to it.

So, what should someone who is interested in Gundam, but not fully aware of the best/worst of the series, jump into? Should someone interested in this Gundam game jump in and watch Destiny?

This has been something I've been wanting to ask for a while, but I've either forgotten or just never had the opportunity. Here's hoping this doesn't go the way of the cornfield, because Gundam is almost labyrinthine to me anymore, lol, and I don't know the difference between Unicorn and the next one people talk about. <_<
