Gundam High Fashion Sure Is Bizarre

You are looking at Gundam inspired clothes. You know. Gundam. Giant mechas. Colorful uniforms. Gundam.

Starting this April, a new men's shop called "Strict-G" is opening in both Tokyo and Shizuoka. It will feature Gundam flavored clothing and accessories from Japanese brands, such as Edwin.

Bandai Namco is also producing "original" clothing items, such as shirts, pants, and jackets that cost between US$100 and $350—or higher.

Because if you are spending $200 on cargo shorts, you want to spend $200 on Gundam cargo shorts. Or something.

This fashion-meets-anime seems to be a trend of sorts. Last fall, a Neon Genesis Evangelion fashion boutique opened in Tokyo.
