The people who have turned the video game Civilization into a board game are continuing their improbable quest to make a Gears of War board game. They don’t have anything to show of the game here at Boston’s PAX East other than a banner. No boards. No pieces. No gameplay details.

A company rep said this is an “announcement of an announcement,” meaning more word will be coming about the Gears game in the coming weeks or months. It’s been a while since we heard they were doing the game and encouraging/fascinating/puzzling that they’re still at it. Good luck, Fantasy Flight!
