I sometimes take a break from video games here on Fine Art to show the very best in concept art from the movie business. Today is one of the days, because Elysium's art is worth the detour.
The images you'll see below are the work of Ben Mauro, an artist we've featured previously here on Fine Art for his excellent robots and BioShock fake-outs.
While he was far from the only person to work on the film's design - you can also thank guys like Aaron Beck, Christian Pearce and Leri Greer - he did recently share a massive dump of images that he contributed to the four-year project, the highlights of which I'm posting here.
To see the rest, and more of Ben's work, head to his personal site.
To see the larger pics in all their glory (or, if they’re big enough, so you can save them as wallpaper), click on the “expand” button in the bottom-right corner.
Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios. If you're in the business and have some concept, environment, promotional or character art you'd like to share, drop us a line!
