I really liked the first Skate, but haven’t been keeping up with the series since because, well, it all looks the same. You skate, you fall off, you try again. I do love it when a series jumps the shark, however.
Not like the Fonz. Or Sonic. But when a game literally challenges you to jump a shark, like the upcoming Skate 3 does. What I really like about this kind of stuff is that it’s similar to the old crash levels in Burnout: a tiny fraction of a much larger game, but something so contained, and so perfect, that you can forget about everything else for hours on end and just focus on it
EA’s Skate 3 will be out on May 11 on 360 and PS3.
