This makes perfect sense.

According to AnimeAnime and Unsodo, this hand-carved Dragon Ball art marks the anime’s 30th anniversary and is limited to only 200 prints.

Like the Star Wars prints Kotaku previously covered, these were done in the woodblock printing method that has been used in Japan for hundreds of years.

Considering how woodblock prints continue to influence Japanese artists, this modern spin certainly is appropriate.

Priced at US$450, the prints went up for pre-order earlier this month and were also available at the recent Anime Expo in LA. The official release is this August.
