Valve's online juggernaut and EA's own upstart service Origin are having some problems of late. Problems continuing through to this week, with Dragon Age II—previously available on Steam—now being withdrawn from sale.
The bone of contention seems to be Dragon Age II's new piece of downloadable content, Legacy, which is only available as an in-game purchase, and not from Steam's shopfront. Which is a violation of Steam's terms of service. So a game that was previously quite happy being sold on Valve's store is suddenly yanked.
As the great Jack Nicholson once said: can't we all just get along?
