Been fighting off a cold. Mustered enough energy to jet up to Tokyo recently to interview Kill Bill actress Chiaki Kuriyama for a book I’m writing about Japanese schoolgirls — I guess it’s the follow up to Arcade Mania. She was a great person to talk to, honest, friendly and so cool. I was expecting scary lady, but it was a very enjoyable interview!
However, like I said, I’ve been fighting off a cold. During the interview, I started to feel on the sick-side. I dunno if it was the air conditioner in the room where we were talking or what. Started getting a runny nose (please don’t make any lewd manga/anime bloody nose comparisons!), and said runny nose dribbled out of said nose and splat onto my notebook.
Yeah.
She continued talking as if nothing happened, but I’m sure, really sure that she noticed. She must have. Thankfully, she didn’t cut the interview short or starting laughing or pointing or laughing and pointing or just going “ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.” That was probably after I left. (>_<) What you missed last night
