Ha! Do I meet up with other people? Not recently. I'm lucky if I leave the house. Seriously. I'm a hermit. My new place will turn me into more of a hermit, I fear. It's up in the mountains — a nice neighborhood, swish, and all that. But a tad on the remote side.
.........Not sure why some sales people do this, but this afternoon when I was trying to change my phone number to another phone company for my new place, the phone guy kept a steady stream of fast chatter. When I said I wanted to think about something, he said that I needed to make a decision by today or there'd be a delay, stuff like that.
I don't respond to that kind of sales pressure at all. Actually, it makes me less interested and totally suspicious! Why can't I wait a day? I want to wait a day. No, I want to wait several days.
And when I told the guy I would decide tomorrow wouldn't stop talking, blah, blah, blah. Not pleasant! I know the guy is trying to make a sale, but really, this hard sell has made me want to look elsewhere. Who responds to this kind of sales tactic?!
