I mentioned earlier this week that Littlefoot had orthopedic surgery on his leg to stop his leg from dislocating while he ran. But I didn’t mention that Lucy, our 15-year-old Border Collie, is now getting daily sub-dermal fluids via a needle from my wife every day to clear out her kidneys which are failing. She gets half a liter a day and sits there quietly absorbing the liquid without a whimper.
Between her and Littlefoot we have nearly a dozen medications we have to dole out everyday. Fortunately, our Greyhound is doing fine.
