Yeah, David Hayter is the voice of Snake in Metal Gear Solid, but his day job is Hollywood script writer. You'd think, then, that he'd be a lock to write the Metal Gear Movie.
But no. Originally, Hayter teamed up with cashed-up producer Avi Arad to pitch an idea for a Metal Gear movie to Sony, but thanks to "Hollywood politics", it never went anywhere. So, project dead, right?
Maybe not. In a recent interview with Collider, Hayter is asked about the possibility of his involvement in a Metal Gear movie, and instead of saying "nope, not doing it" he does the opposite. Plays it very, very coy, doing everything but officially announcing that he's back on the thing.
The full interview is below. Head to around the 3:40 mark to hear him dance around the subject.
