3. Ultimate Imposter
The Ultimate Imposter is the first character to die in Danganronpa 2, and as such, is shrouded in mystery for most of the game. He at first appears as Byakuya Togami, a character from the original Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and is killed off so suddenly that he leaves more questions than answers by the time Danganronpa 2 is over. He played a much more integral role during Danganronpa 3’s prequel arc, but his potential as a shapeshifter who has disguised himself as other people his entire life is woefully underexplored. In Danganronpa 2, he’s mostly there to disorient the player by lulling them into a fleeting sense of familiarity. In 2×2, he has the potential to be something much greater.
