An Xbox Marketplace listing for Alien: Isolation lines up with our reports from back in October of the game in development by Creative Assembly, starring Ellen Ripley's daughter.

Here's the full description from the Xbox listing:

Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger. Fifteen years after the events of Alien™, Ellen Ripley's daughter, Amanda enters a desperate battle for survival, on a mission to unravel the truth behind her mother's disappearance. As Amanda, you will navigate through an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and an unpredictable, ruthless Alien. Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.

The features listing also reveals some interesting tidbits, namely:

  • Offline players 1
  • Offline co-op 1

  • Online multiplayer 1 - 4
  • Online co-op 1 - 4

And now we wait.

Update: Well, the multiplayer and co-op features have since been removed from the listing. Interesting.

*Crosses fingers for a Doom 3-esque survival horror game with awesome co-op* Sure the source material could push it either way but ever since Resident Evil 5 let me down I've been yearning for a truly scary horror game with a well crafted co-op experience. Also it doesn't have to be first person... one of my favorite movie based games was The Thing for the xbox/ps2 which kicked major ass for its time and was in...third person! :D
