It's Thanksgiving time here in America, and you know what that means - millions of dead turkeys! Delicious dead turkeys, mind you, but the folks at PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) don't appreciate that at all, and once more they dig out an iconic video game character to try and get their message across. Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals is actually not a bad flash version of Majesco's cooking franchise for the Wii and DS. It's just a bit twisted. Behead, gut, and stuff a turkey while attempting to get the coveted "Even Meaner Than Mama" score. Don't fret though, Mama fans. There's redemption in store for the titular hero, and by the end of the game it's all turkeys and rainbows for our tiny, sexual stereotype. Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals [PETA]
Everytime there's a post that relates to Animal rights on this site.
It makes me lose what little hope I have left that there are at least a handful of compassionate gamers out there.
You hate PETA. Fine.
A lot of us vegetarians/vegans hate PETA just as much as you.
And don't get me wrong.
This cooking mama thing is beyond stupid.
I'm a strict vegetarian along with my gf and she's addicted to Cooking Mama.
It's just a freakin' game!
But it's absolutely despicable the way that most people here talk about the way animals are treated as if it's so easy to dismiss.
Disagree with PETA.
Fine. Hate them if you must.
But don't act like animals deserve to be treated the way they are or as if they're somehow inferior to us.
