The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Watchmen writer Alan Moore is famous for not wanting to see the properties he creates for comic books taken outside of the medium, but what about properties created with multiple mediums in mind? At a recent question and answer session celebrating his magazine Dodgem Logic, Moore hinted that such a project was in the works and a video game could be on the table.
Shacknews reports that during the London Q&A session a member of the audience asked the eccentric writer if he had considered working on video games. Moore answered by explaining his stance on movies made from his comics. He's never seen the Watchmen or League of Extraordinary Gentlemen movies (lucky him) because those stories were written to be comics and nothing else.
Moore followed the explanation with the news that he's now looking at a new transmedia project, being created with an eye for more than one medium, urging those listening to keep an eye out for potentially surprising developments popping up over the next twelve months.
"You didn't hear it from me," he added.
Of course you didn't hear it from him. You heard it from me, and I heard it from Shacknews.
This is potentially excellent news for Moore fans with an eye for the video games, even if it does crush my hopes for Lost Girls: The Video Game.
