This is cute. Really, really cute. Is too much? Probably! But golly, Japanese cafes don't get much more adorable than this.
You are looking at the Pom Pom Purin Cafe, which opened its doors this week in Tokyo's Harajuku. This is the first of its kind in the country.
If you are not familiar with the Sanrio character, he is a beret-wearing golden retriever who loves pudding (プリン or purin) and generally acts cute and lazy (as seen in this anime). Pom Pom Purin is one of the most popular Sanrio characters in Japan, so a cafe like this shouldn't be too surprising.
Recently, websites Fashion Press and Omotesando Info (as well as numerous Twitter users) visited this Pom Pom Purin Cafe and checked out the decoration and food. Note all of it is sweet (you can order pasta or curry, for example), but the deserts do look fantastic.
