I’m on the line about the whole carpet/hardwood floors thing too. On the one hand carpets feel nice on your feet, back, head, whatever happens to hit the floor quickly. On the other hand they aren’t just dust magnets, they’re also germ, stain, fluid magnets and they stain. We are slowing converting our entire main floor to hardwood, mostly because of the dogs. But I think we’ll keep the carpet upstairs.
