Canada's Privacy Watchdog Is also Looking into the PSN Outage

It's not just Britain's digital privacy watchdog looking into Sony's PlayStation Network data theft: Canada's Privacy Commissioner is now investigating the matter as well.

Jennifer Stoddart, the current Privacy Commissioner of Canada, is responsible for officially investigating things like invasions of privacy should Canadians make official complaints. Which, in the wake of the PSN break-in - and possible loss of personal information like credit card details - is exactly what's happened.

"We are currently looking into this matter and are seeking information from Sony," a spokesperson told "We will determine next steps once we have a full understanding of the incident."
