Chicory: A Colorful Tale was one of the indie sleeper hits of 2021, and if you missed it two years ago, playing it through your PlayStation Plus membership is a great way to make up for lost time. The adventure game follows a dog named after the player’s favorite food, who takes a magical paintbrush and must restore color to a colorless world. The game allows a lot of player creativity and expression, and that personal investment adds to its introspective themes. Chicory is a joy to play, and a gut punch to finish.
