The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
I have gone on record on this website as saying A Link to the Past is perfect. It is, but that doesn’t mean it’s the best Zelda game. It is the perfection of everything the series sought out to do in the original game with the overhead format, and it really started to color in the world in a way the original game didn’t quite reach. A Link to the Past is something to aspire to even now, and plenty of retro-inspired indie games are chasing the high of the Super Nintendo classic.
