Sleeper Citizen is everything I wanted from Cyberpunk 2077‘s story and more. You awake as a bootleg android stowaway on a backwater space station that’s home to its own mix of mundane squalor, criminal activity, and personal heartache. It feels suffocating and liberating at the same time, with the threat of your previous corporate owners and an empty stomach nipping at your heels as you take odd jobs, have weird prophetic dreams, and discover moments of friendship and tenderness amid the harsh sci-fi dystopia.
