2 teams, Legends was actually delayed out of 2021. Both it and gen 4 remakes were hit with delays that year(thanks covid).

So really team 2 finished late, which pushed them into the same year as team 1's game.

I believe there’s at least two separate teams working at GameFreak, with the team from Legends not being the same one that worked on both S/V and Sword/Shield. I’m not sure to what extent they share resources, but I’m sure the positive reception of Legends must have influenced the development on S/V as well.

Regardless of who was first, its a pretty awesome accomplishment! I love Souls games and have so far beaten all of them but I can’t get through the beginning areas without a taking at least 10 hits and then panic-rolling off a cliff. LOL Read more
