Now playing

I've been listening to the new Rush CD since it came out a week or so ago.

Good point; my friends and I spent a good 5 bucks each to finally beat Magneto in the 6 player x-man arcade game back in the day. Especially because I remember that fight being so cheap - spawn, use mutant power, die, repeat... Read more

This is why we really don't see new studios popping up left and right making big budget AAA titles — it's just such a risky proposition and such a long time until you potentially get a return on your investment. There is so much less risk in focusing on downloadable titles for steam or iOS with a team of 8-12 people. Read more

Heh, I keep checking every couple of days as well. Funny that the two games I most want to play are supposedly coming out this summer but don't have a release date (Torchlight 2 and Guild Wars 2). I just finished another replay of T1 to get ready for T2 Read more

Yeah, it took me about halfway through ME1 before I realized I had a weapon other than that machine gun. I remember thinking those outdoor geth encounters were so ridiculously difficult and time consuming - if only I had a better tool to fight them with. Little did I know that I did! Read more

I remember what a big deal being able to pause was. When I played a new colecovision a friend had and he showed me that he could pause the game I was amazed! Too bad those big sword-grip controllers with four buttons on the handle never caught on.

I'll admin my first thought was 'what will this do for my D&D and boardgame capabilities'? Precisely because I remembered this video and the other one with the D&D prototype running on it. Read more

Yep I'm in the beta and after last weekend I am jonesing like crazy for more play time. There are whole mechanics I didn't even get to see because I spent most of my time just figuring out how to play. Next BWE I will be ready! Read more

Nice. I was coming here to make this comment :D I appreciate the addition of a picture; that's a nice touch. Read more

First new Rush album in 5 years was released today - Clockwork Angels. I've been enjoying it quite a bit; it's kind of a throwback to 2112 in that the whole album weaves a story throughout, and it also a bit 'heavier' than they have been in quite awhile. I really like the featured tracks (heck, Caravan and BU2B have Read more

Yeah, can't wait for BL2. I talked myself out of the ultimate loot chest though. Out of all the swag really the only thing I was interested in was the loot chest itself. Which, while cool, I couldn't justify the $90 premium over the base game cost. Now if the Marcus bobblehead was instead a talking claptrap statue it Read more

I think we need a distinction between fully free games with cosmetic/customizing perks you can buy and 'pay-to-complete' games, where the shell of the game is free but you have to open your wallet to buy more than 1 character slot, more than 1 weapon loadout, access to all the character classes etc. Read more

I'll let you know; my purchase just went through 10 minutes ago ;) Read more

I remember seeing some terrific Samus ones with the full suit, not the slutty zero suit. I think it was some Russian or Scandinavian woman. The suit was really well made and I think the actual girl was tiny (as you'd have to be to actually fit into that thing). too lazy to search it down but I know it's out there. Read more

It look a liter of vodka? Is the name of this pc Bender Bending Rodriguez? Read more

I've been having a lot of fun with it lately as well. I was sad to hear Mickey Cantor was gone but I have to admit I like the dynamic and back-and-forth with the new announcers better. The game is a lot more balanced than original MNC — you really have to focus on pushing lanes, spawning bots, and fighting for the Read more

Yeah Gears is what I thought of too. Especially on a boss wave of horde mode - watching (or being) the last guy alive having to take down a lambent berserker. Terrific tension. Read more
