Technically, now that Barnes & Noble has spun off the Nook business into its own company (with Microsoft buying into it at the same time), it's more accurate to refer to "Nook" as the company now than B&N. B&N is an investor, and the U.S. distributor, but Nook is the company. So it's Nook's OS, not "BN's OS". Read more

Ummm... I live in WiFi, I work in WiFi, and there is free WiFi available in the downtown core of the town I live in. Why would I want to pay for 3G/LTE on a tablet? I also do have a smartphone with a data plan if I'm really desperate to look something up. Read more
