If I were Nintendo, I suspect I'd list total sales for the DS family (all three), as well as break down sales for each generation (DS, DSi, 3DS). I'm not sure why they don't do this, to be honest. Read more

I never played the original Dark Reign, but the updated "Redux" version costs only 400 Microsoft Points and has the ubiquitous XBL free trial that all XBLA and XBLIG titles have so it's a no brainer.

This wasn't published by Activision. Just a gem from their back catalogue that an indie developer convinced Activision to let them remake. I think this is awesome. :) Read more

Most of my RTS gaming was in Halo Wars. The idea of having to tell units how to react to enemy encounters is... interesting. There is the odd time in Halo Wars I wish I could have had units *not* react to enemy contact to stealth them up a bit. I'm definitely getting this game, now. :) Read more

Where is it published by Activision? Look up the game's description on the Dashboard. It's published by an indie developer, who somehow secured the rights from Activision. That's indie, in my book. Read more

I think the confusion, Owen, is that the Kotaku article lists Activision as the publisher. Apparently not so (as clarified by the Armless Octopus link you added at the end of the article). The indie developer apparently self-published, after coming to an agreement over the IP with Activision. Read more
